Y6 Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

Throughout the Autumn Term, Year 6 children have been learning about the invasion game, Ultimate Frisbee. This is a fast paced sport where speed, footwork and hand-eye co-ordination are essential. Everyone thoroughly loved learning this new and exciting sport.

The unit culminated with a tournament at the Karmand Community Centre against other schools in our LAP. 8 lucky children were selected to attend this highly competitive event. Our performances were outstanding; however, the biggest accolade we could have hoped for came during the presentation ceremony. As a school, we pride ourselves on our teamwork, co-operation and respect for others and it was a wonderful moment when this was acknowledged by the organisers of the event who presented Wellington with the Teamwork and Achievement Award.

A big well done to Ella Brooke, Millie Adams, Aaron Chattaway, Amaan Ali, Ethan Gill, Joseph Boyle , Ayesha Akhtar and Mia Ahad. You represented Wellington admirably and your reward was well deserved!
