WELLINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL has 1 Vacancy for a Co-opted Governor.

The Governing Body is made up of Head Teacher, Parent Governors (6), Staff Governors (1), Local Education Authority Governors (1) and Co-opted Governors (7) plus a clerk.  All members have the same voting rights and are encouraged to participate in discussion in both full governing body and committee meetings.

We hold six full governing body meetings per academic year running from September to July on Monday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.  The governing body has 3 Committees that meet on a Monday evening from 6pm to 7pm as required (normally either one or twice per term). The Committees are Teaching and Learning, Finance and Buildings and Personnel.  All governors are required to serve on one of these committees.

We are very proud of our school, its achievements and its standing in the local community.  The staff and governors work together to maintain and further improve standards of the school.  Being a governor at Wellington is a rewarding experience, not in financial terms, but in knowing that you have made a difference to the school and its pupils.

If you are interested in filling this vacancy please write giving a few details about yourself to the Clerk to Governors, 42 Westfield Lane, Wrose, Shipley BD18 1LX or telephone 01274 593266 for further details.
