This half term Year 3 have been studying what it is like to live in a multicultural and multi-faith community.
Today, Year 3 were lucky enough to have a wonderful guest speaker. Mrs McFadden kindly came and spoke to the class about her life in Macedonia and what it was like to come to England after being born in and living in Macedonia.
- Kieranjeet said, ‘I’ve learnt that, like England, in Macedonia there are four seasons, but the summer is much warmer and winter is much colder’.
- ‘I learnt that most of the houses have two floors and they have balconies, which are really good for resting in the shade when it is really hot’. Tanya Ingham.
- ‘I learnt how to greet people’. Emily Wood.
- ‘I learnt that Macedonian people speak Macedonian’. Isah Rehman.
All the children in Year 3 would like to thank Mrs McFadden for giving up her time to provide them with a fantastic insight into her life in both Macedonia and England.
