Nursery Fun Day Celebration

Nursery held their end of year Fun Day to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.  We decorated our Nursery with lots of bunting.   The children had already painted pictures of the Queen and made birthday cards; some were displayed in Nursery and a selection of these have been sent to Buckingham Palace.  We eagerly await a reply.

All the children came in their best clothes, as did their parents and the staff. We watched a puppet performance by ‘Freehand Theatre’ called ‘Frogs and Snails and Teddy Bear Tales’, which was amazing.  The children were all enthralled, and many of the parents commented afterwards about how good it was. We had lots of activities including a ball pool, hoppers, photo booth, horse drawn carriage, pin the tail on the corgi, jewellery making, flag making and many more.  We finished it off with a street party in our outdoor area.

We all had a fantastic time, and even the weather was kind to us on our celebration day. Now we are busy making birthday cards for the puppet theatre.

Fantastic effort put in by the staff to organise the fun day. The puppet show was really good. Everyone seemed to enjoy it adults and children alike! I know me and my little girl did!
