Our evacuees set off enthusiastically, in brilliant WWII costumes, prepared with evacuation labels, ID and ration cards.
The children enjoyed making Farmhouse Crunch and butter. They found out how much work was involved on wash day. The local ARP warden taught them the essential rules for air raid precautions, gas mask drill and how to deal with a fire bomb!
A realistic, unforgettable experience!

I had an amazing day with such lovely, well behaved children. It really gave us an insight into what life was like in World War 2. It was a pleasure and a privilege to go to such a wonderful place 🙂
