On Thursday 6th November, Year 3 took part in a special off-timetable event called ‘French and Spanish Day.’ Over the course of the day, they enjoyed lots of different activities relating to France and Spain. There was an Eiffel Tower making competition using art straws, the chance to try a French breakfast and also some pastel drawings. Children also had the opportunity to make Spanish mosaics, a traditional fan and also taste some Spanish cuisine. At the end of the day, prizes were awarded for the four best costumes. A huge thank you to the family members who helped arrange the costumes. It was fantastic to see the children in a range of creative costumes … we had lots of lovely Spanish senoritas and matadors and even a French artist!
